ive done some homework on tie rod ends for my charger. right now i have the factory ones and want to replace them with better ones. hotckos makes some but are not greaseable. firm feel makes a nice set as well as does just suspensions. i need your input on these products, if you guys have used them. also same goes for the strut bars. a spoke to dick at firm feel once and said it was not necessary to change the as the change was'nt huge.. what do you guys think??? thanks in advance

I yet to have anyone convince me that going to 11/16" tie rods makes a "real" improvement. And if "11/16" is such a big deal, why hasn't anybody gone to 3/4" or 1"??? On strut bars they mainly IMO offer robustness when braking or hitting potholes, both not a critical improvement with upgraded bars, but there is always the follow the herd and bling factors to consider.

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

I had my Kframe out and was swapping to disc brakes, so I upgraded my front suspension. I used Just Suspension tierods with the rest of the street/strip kit. We will see when I put more miles on in the spring what the real difference is I am happy with the suspension kit install and components. And it worked will with my off the shelf parts disc brake upgrade.

If you are rebuilding your front suspesion anyway, the cost to move up to 11/16 is minimal and certainly worth the trouble. They were the standard size for the heavier C bodies and they will flex less on the B's. Every little bit helps.

If you need new tie rod ends just buy the C body ones. They cost the same (sometimes less) and they are bigger and beefier. You need to get the correct adjuster tube at the same time. Look thru the parts book and select the correct length, there are 3 or 4 different lengths for the adjuster tubes. You can also buy the solid type adjuster tubes from Firm Feel for a little extra money.

Hey Pete! How are you doing buddy?!

I went all Firm Feel on the front end on my '71 Cuda duing the 6.1 Hemi swap.

Quality parts and excellent service from Dick and Dennis

I went with the 11/16" tie-rod combo set since I was starting from new. If you already rebuilt the suspension, I really doubt you will feel any difference with the 9/16" tie-rods you have already.
if you got the $175 burning a hole in your pocket and want the piece of mind, go ahead and get the FF's set-up. Best priced set on the market. If not, wait till you need to do your front end and then swap em out.

Here's a few pics of my Firm Feel parts

hey..... whats up...??? the only reason why i was going to swap them out is because i dont like the way they look and i want them to be powder coated. like the rest of my stuff.. i have the original strut bars in also. but dick had had to me not to change them. im a little hesitant in changing them because my alignment is so good. but when the chance comes up im gonna swap them out.. for which ones? the 9/16 ones??

I just bought a full front end replacement for my Coronet from Rock Auto using all Moog parts. It is not a kit you just order each part. Total cost shipped for everything was 376.55
