I own a stock 1968 Dodge Dart 270 that I am converting into a 1968 Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock.

I was given a fiberglass lift off trunk lid for free. ***Let it be noted that I am aware that the 1968 Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock's did not come equipped from the factory with fiberglass trunk lids***

I am trying to keep the outside appearance of the car very traditional as if it was being altered in the early 1970's. I plan on using the exact same factory pin kits that were used to hold down the fiberglass Hemi hoods so that they match and also look traditional.

If you or someone that you know have already done this, can you please share your knowledge and post pictures if possible?

Thanks!

Let it be noted..... ONLY on Moparts would you have to make this disclaimer haha stirthepot

I really don't have much to add concerning the Dart body. However, I would think 4 would be sufficient depending on the under-structure of the lid.
Guess my best suggestion would be to lay out scuff plates on the deck lid where they "look good" to YOU and see what would be involved for locating the pins....

If I hadn't sold my M-Code Dart to slax69gts I could take pictures. Maybe PM him? It had 4 hood pins holding down the fiberglass deck lid.

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

4 pins are plenty. I only have 4 on the hood of my 64 Belvedere. It hasn't come off at 147. I would fab some simple plates and attach them to the bottom of the trunk gutter channel. Something like this.
