My wipers quit on my '68 Coronet. I don't think my motor is bad, it's a newly rebuilt, new dash harness. I'm betting switch (its original). What is best way to verify the switch is shot?
Thnx shruggy

I wouldn't say shot, but the first test I would do is see if you have a zero impedance reading across the B to B/U terminals. That is the first place power goes when entering into the wiper switch is to the circuit breaker. For a whole lot of nothing to happen, forward or park, that's what might be the issue. Unplug the four wire socket and the single socket that is on the side as mounted. The very top terminal is the B terminal and this single terminal is the B/U.
Also check for incoming 12 volts between the pink wire terminal in the socket and dash ground.

Jim

Sorry, that first post was more detailed and back breaking than simply trying this. Does your washer pump motor work? That will tell you right away if 12 volts is coming into the switch and across the internal breaker.

Don't forget the motor grounding, I have found it to be the culprit more than once up

Thnx for the info, it definately gives me a starting point on where and what to look for. Electrical is not my strong point.

Thnx guys!!
