OK here is what we have: 2004 Dodge Ram Quad 4X4 hemi 45RFE tranny

Here is what we did: Bought new tranny fluid and both Filters

removed pan removed spin on filter , replaced with new (filled before spinning on ) replaced l
flat filter with o ring put in 7 Qts fluid which indicates Full on dip stick;;; Started put in Neutral revved up a few times HAS NOTHING in D or R ????

Any ideas??

Did you check the fluid level with the engine running? Sounds like you just don't have enough fluid in the transmission. Don't think you need the transmission in neutral to check fluid levels like the older cars.

Filter seal loose problem solved

I hope you drove the main sump filter seal into the pump. If you didn't the filter will fall out of the pump.

That was it ! I just pressed it in by hand, and it fell out when I ran it... when we toke it apart it was out.
