Good morning everyone. I was wondering if there was someone out there who might be able to help me figure out the exact placement of the little gold pentastar emblem on the fender of my 69 Road Runner. I believe it goes on the passenger side fender but if I am wrong on that please correct me.

Also, my body guy asked me if fender and door latch bolts (and the latches themselves) are body color, natural metal, or something else. I didn't know the answer to that question.

As alway, I appreciate all the help you all give me on this board. Have a blessed day.

There should be 2 holes in the lower part of the passenger fender where the emblem attaches. one is the main pin hole with the locking tabs and the other small pin is just an alignment hole.
Fender bolts - body color
Door latches - I believe are gold cadmium
Door catches - I believe are silver cadmium

Thank you for the help on the bolts and latches. I sure appreciate that.

As far as the pentastar emblem holes go, my fender first have any. I need to know where to put them if anyone has any idea where they would go. I'm thankful for all help.

If there are no holes, you could just remove the mounting tabs and use some thin double sided tape to mount the emblem?? I cant provide exact location info for a RR fender. Might be able to find a picture on the web and judge where it goes.

I suppose I can snip the plastic studs and stuck it in there with a bit of silicone. I put my GTO crests on the fenders of my 66 and they've been on there 20 years

Two sided tape works perfectly for that.

3M also makes a plastic emblem adhesive that I have used and is not as thick and more permanent than double sided tape, imo.

Is 6-3/4 a lot further away from 6-1/2 than 2-1/2 is from 2-1/4 ???
Or are my eyes bad, just want someone to check before someone drills!

I think it's because of the dog leg on the fender is tapered?

I hope you're right, but I would ask for a re-measure before I started making holes.
