Installing the '71 and later PTK module is pretty much a straight bolt-in, remove the end plate and install the module and its end plate. One of the screws that holds the steel separator plate to the aluminum transfer plate will interfere with the installation of the PTK module, simply remove and discard the screw. The limit valve won't be operative because the early VB's lack a sense port for it but the PTK will work fine.

The limit valve in the newer PTK module limits PTK to below 40 mph. Either one works but the later unit is easier to find.
The VB needs to be removed to perform the installation.
