I just picked up a distributor with the Pertronix conversion installed. Do I need any other parts to make it work in place of my stock dizzy?

if it is the Ignitor-I and as long as it is all there and working, just by-pass the BR by connecting the wires together for a full 12 volts to a Pertronix flamethrower 40,000 volt chrome coil. red wire with keyed hot wire + side of coil, black wire/tach wire to -side of coil for hook up.

yep, that simple.

I only use the Ignitor-I and the Pertronix chrome 40,000 volt flamethrower coil.

never needed to try a II or III conversion with my first Ignitor-I still kicking 19+ yrs later.

I have found over the yrs you need to stay with the pertronix rotor button. mopar/ford rotors tend to not fit good and walk around in the plastic piece with green tape.

don't peel the green tape off either. that holds the magnets in phase/place.

I have a Ignitor-I in my Mallory duel point dist for the 440 truck. works great and same hook up & coil.
