The bottom of lifter all dished out? Means cam most likely is also.

Lifter stopped turning in the bore at one time or another. Cam is junk too, cam bearing probably had nothing to do with it unless it was so far out of the block it hit the lifter.

Yeah, its wore/dished so bad oil is comming through the face on lifter the restof lifters look excellent no dishing/wear at all.going to try putting another lifter in it in hopes that the lifter was soft/ junk. its hard to see lob on cam b-cause #1 hole. don't have time to pull engine right now. lobe for that lifter is toast, too. and all that metal is now floating in the oiling system ready to get lodged in a bearing or piston skirt, ripe for scoring a cyl wall or crank.

the right thing to do is to tear the motor down, clean it out, replace the cam and lifters and put it back together.

hmm...did a valve stick causing the bent pushrod?

I've got several; the lobes they came off were pretty flat also.

New fangle paper weights , or .20 cents a pound scrap.

I know your misery.

Good luck.

I guess I'd look for a cheapie pull-out 318 or something to stick in there if you don't have the time to do it right.

When you tear the enging down you will see the metal from the cam got to all the bearings and oil pump
I thought the same as you to just put a new cam in, but when I checked the oil pump and bearings I ended up doing a minor rebuild. Had the block re-honed, then replaced the piston rings, all the bearings, the oil pump, cam and lifters.

You should tear it down and do a complete stroder rebuild with nothing but the best parts money can buy. Rebuild the plow setup and have the frame powdercoated while you're at it. Or...
Had that happen to me once. The lobe wasn't round yet, so I just tossed in a lifter and went on my way. It was a beater and lasted a while longer (until I got rid of the car, actually). A few quick oil changes might get most of the mess out of the engine if you're lucky.

Don't forget the stainless steel bolts throughout, the air gap intake and the comp XE camshaft

I was just posting how much dammage a wiped lobe did in my 360, and that it resulted in me doing a minor rebuild because I planned to keep the engine for awhile.

If your not going to keep the engine very long, sure just throw it back together and make sure your AAA is paid up.
