Yeah, its wore/dished so bad oil is comming through the face on lifter the restof lifters look excellent no dishing/wear at all.going to try putting another lifter in it in hopes that the lifter was soft/ junk. its hard to see lob on cam b-cause #1 hole. don't have time to pull engine right now. lobe for that lifter is toast, too. and all that metal is now floating in the oiling system ready to get lodged in a bearing or piston skirt, ripe for scoring a cyl wall or crank.
the right thing to do is to tear the motor down, clean it out, replace the cam and lifters and put it back together.
hmm...did a valve stick causing the bent pushrod?

Yeah, I checked lob and its gone... pulling front end off engine now to replace cam. As far as tear down........I know its best to tear her down but not in the books no time. Its in my plow truck = not making money = change cam drop the oil/ filter and hope for the best. Yes I think you are correct about pushrod.... nate

I guess I'd look for a cheapie pull-out 318 or something to stick in there if you don't have the time to do it right.

You should tear it down and do a complete stroder rebuild with nothing but the best parts money can buy. Rebuild the plow setup and have the frame powdercoated while you're at it.
