Im putting my trucks transmission back together and have the Trans go TFOD-3 shift kit currently in it. Im trying to get ahead of burning everything up. Heavy truck 5000lbs with 1200-1300hp and tons of torque. I have talked to a few people and all i know is i need at least 225psi for fixed line pressure. How have peopled locked the TV on the valve body??? What is a good rule of thumb to go on for the direct and forward clutch packs? Input in and out clearance??? 7 clutch direct and 5 clutch forward packs currently.

You can wire the TP arm back to lock it at max.. I'll
look around for my 518 book and see what the clearances
are... sure hope you dont use the LU or OD with that
kind of power... you might want to use a 618 and
the valve body from a 518

Its a diesel transmission behind my cummins. Last time it was ran was behind a 650hp motor and now well i stepped up my game a bit lol. Billet everything and even an Arment 100 input aswell.

Is this a 727 or 518? I am assuming you are driving it on the street.

225# fixed line? Plan on replacing the direct drum or its piston as they will break.

It will not shift properly at that line without extensive moifications, so plan on setting it up for full man shifts.

The pump and any iron rings will soon be destroyed.

Converter? Hmmmm...

Time to talk to experts in the hi-per field with chipped up diesels. I would contact Goerends. http://www.goerend.com/ They are the experts in diesel Torqueflites.
