AN6 to 1/8 pipe... you can drill the fitting out some
to help the flow.. dont go crazy
EDIT
its AN6 on the 727... the 518 is AN6
Stock line is 5/16 on the 727 and 3/8
line on the 518 trans... I had to think
what I put on the race car but I am sure
its AN6... I went 3/8 hard line on the 518
since its a street rod

I used -4 on mine.

On second thought perhaps I did go -6. Factory was 5/16", correct? I was thinking it was 1/4" OEM. Senility....

On my race car with a 727, I have 3/8 steel lines that are terminated with about 18" of AN-4 braided hose to the transmission. I did drill out the ID of the AN-4 to 1/8NPT fittings on the trans since the AN-4 fitting ID was smaller than I liked.

The AN-4 in short lengths works fine, but you may prefer AN-6 if you use braided line all the way to the cooler and back.

The factory fittings are 1/8" npt to 5/16" flare, it would be AN5 if such a thing exists. Hydraulic hose places have the fittings but not in pretty anodized aluminum, just brass or steel. Of course you could change the fittings to 3/8" ones.

AN 5 does exist but it's not too common.
