There's a fair sized hole right next to (bottom left of) the regulator bracket. I'm sure it's a factory hole because the insulation pad on the cabin side is relieved for it, what goes in that hole?

That is where my vacumm hoses for my 70 Road Runner air grabber come out. Most likely for your cable on your N96.

If your car was built at the LA plant that location is likely for the N96. St. Louis and Lynch Road may have used another location I believe.

Yes it's N96 and built in St Louis. Below is a shot from the inside, aiming the camera thru the hole the radio sits in. You can see how nicely relieved the insulation pad is for 'something' to go thru that hole. I'd be disappointed at this time to find out it's not for something I need.

That's my ram air cable as far as I can tell. My ing. box is over to the right of the hole though? The hole looks like it's in the same spot! The pass. side is alwyts the right side of the car.

Yes -That is the N96 Air Grabber cable hole. My 1970 Coronet R/T (Lynch Rd) is in the same location. See attached - hope this helps. Dave

Thanks for all the help guys, below is a shot of a friends car which I've been using for reference. I've taken a number of photo's of it but as you can see it does not match mine in this detail and it also is a St Louis car, but I think it was built in August. Looks like the hole is differend depending on where and when built to me. Anyhow, I don't see anywhere else my air cable could come from, where does the cable control mount on the dash? This is an item I have not yet purchased for my car.
