I am thinking about buying the FBO ignition box for a customers car. Anyone have any experience with these ignition boxes?
Thank you!

I have the FBO black box and coil in my dart, works like advertised. My coil cracked where the plug wire goes in and started arcing, called Don and he sent me a new one, it was with in the year warranty still.

I see that they have a coil that they want you to use with there ignition boxes. That isn't a big deal to change even if I had another brand of coil.
I see the reviews and so far most people like there ignition boxes.

They claim you need to use an FBO coil with the ignition box. Are you looking at the new box with rev limiter and ballist resistor delete? I am thinking of going that route.

Better keep a spare . I bought 2 and they both crapped out shortly after the warranty ran out.

According to there website you have to use the coil they sell of it does damage to the electronic ignition. I also think that a good ground is important after reading about them.

I ran the whole FBO setup on my A12 Road Runner for years w/o any issues, including having Don set up the distributor's ignition curve to match my combination.
