Has anyone ever had a helmet resized?
Kaitlin is growing like a weed and her custom painted helmet is getting a little tight....

However fitting too tight I suspect is more of a comfort concern then a safety issue to a point, the reverse would not be the case.
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

but probably not much cheaper than a new bucket.
But, it would save me the cost of the paint job.

The helmet was new beginning of last season. I would hope sending it back to G Force to resize wouldn't screw with the cert.
I will have to call them one of these days I was just wondering if anyone had been through this before. Doesn't sound like it.
Thanks guys

It's not so tight that she is uncomfortable in it. However, she is now 12 and has about 5 more years in the sport and I fear that by next year she may have outgrown it.
We did have the helmet with interchangeable pads when she started but had outgrown that.
I was just wondering if anyone had sent one back to the manufacturer to have one resized.
That would save me to having to have R&R duplicate the awesome paint job they did.
My daughters got a big coconut, and her multi fit helmet is also quickly getting too tight, luck for me there are 2 other lil Prochaska ladies waiting in line for hand me downs.
As for resizing it. I have hears of people useing a heat gun to schrink the foam, but I dont think id do this to a bucket my lil girls gona wear at 70ish MPH

I hear you on the heat gun trick, it makes their eyes water.
Try taking it off their head first next time

And I'm at the other end of the spectrum with Taylor.
I bought her a car large enough for me to fit in and she stopped growing at 5'2"s
Heck, She's now 17 and at 12, Kaitlin is now taller then her.
I hate kids growth spurts

You have a real dilema there Bill, have some fun or lots of fun Sounds like the Wild stable is doing great these days. Keep it up, tell the family hello and maybe we will catch up sometime this summer at the tracks!! As far as the helmet goes, how much more time before the cert runs out? Might be time for a new trophy case item!! Have a Happy Easter!
416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out. 11.06 open headers----so far!!
