I would really like to know if its gonna be worth me even looking to go if its not on the east side of the Mississippi river and not way down south.. all this waiting gets real old... I guess HR likes the drama of watching all the guys squirm.. a lot of guys need to figure their vacation time

I haven't touched my car in awhile and it needs lots of attention. Hit a massive pot hole a month ago, now the steering is messed up. The gear vendor sitting on the floor. Maybe if they would announce the track it would get my blood pumping again. My blood has stopped since all it has done in 8 months is rain

The word on FB was they are on their third set of tracks trying to get it nailed down for this year.

It is late in the game.
I think it is a testament to just how hard it is to get 4 different tracks within a certain geographical area to open up on a weekday morning and get little in return.

Sure looked like a real race track at SGMP at Light Out 6 when NHRA tried to cancell that
Wasnt that a change of hands(track owner)... plus
a pissin match of some type

I went to Great Bend last year as a spectator and it was AMAZING how many people skipped work to come out to the track mid-week!
I saw friends there I hadn't seen in years.
If the full parking lot, huge lines at concessions and t-shirt stand was any indication, it looked like a very lucrative deal for the track!
This track is what most would consider in the middle of nowhere as well!

Both times we have been to GB, the fan support was impressive. Some places you get lots of fan interest, others, not so much.
If HR would modify their run schedule to run in the late afternoon/evening (something even Freiburger suggested a few years ago) I think it would be better for the tracks, fans and safer for the participants. DW has unfortunately evolved into a "stay late, hit the road late, drive until the wee hours of the morning, rinse, repeat" format.
