Purple stuff didn't phase it, had to break out the oven cleaner, and even that took multiple hits.
The underside of the throttle body was coated too. TB cleaner spray did nothing. Ended up pulling all the sensors off the TB and hitting that with oven cleaner too.
The stuff was
thick in spots. I would have preferred to hot tank the intake, but, no service like that close by. I did the best I could with what I had to work with.
I spent more time trying to get everything clean than I did tearing it down.
