I'm about to drop the gas tank on my '70 Dart and I don't know what kind of condition the pad between the tank and body will be in. I know they make re-pops, but I want to do the project this weekend. Has anyone made their own replacement? And if so, what kind of material did you use?
Some see the glass as half empty, some see the glass as half full. I just drink straight out of the bottle.

X2 on the black roofing material (not sure what they call it). As said find someone who has a roll (its a big roll) & ask em for a piece

the new 30# roofing felt is .017-.020", the original tank pads were about .080"+, order a thick one from Detroit Muscle technologies for $25. Tim
