Cab_Burge I Win C Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 43,277 Bend,OR USA	Quote: Stock a-body housing with BBp axles The pre 1973 A body with 8 3/4 rear ends had narrower brakes and axle spacing from the wheel bearings to the axle flanges, you have to use the same drums that match the backing plates and axle to bearing spacing. The standard BBP axles usually have a larger diameter axle flange also that won't allow the stock A body 1 3/4 brake drums to fit on those flanges aso, you can have that fixed by a machine shop by having them reduce the O.D. to match the brake drum steps Been there, done that Another opton is to find a 1973 and later A body 8 1/4 rear end to get those stock brake from with the BBP, they bolt on the 8 3/4 and work with the standard 30 spline 8 3/4 axles as well as the Dana 35 spline BBP axles Let us know what you end up doing Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
