I 'm pretty stoked, just picked up a clean 83 D150 318/4 spd short box. Can anyone provide a link to a thread or website about mini-tubbing, wheel/rubber combos and using a 8 3/4 rear in these addictive little things. I have an A-body 8 3/4" housing already and would like to use it. Using it how wide rubber can a guy fit into one of these --tubs notwithstanding.

The plan is to put a 540 hp 371 I have in it, lower it using the van LCA's and car rear spring perch method. I want this to be a clean little runner that I can upgrade as I go. Next winter it will receive a G3 stroked HEMI and a McLeod 5 spd.

I would like a real decent driver that can surprise unsuspecting NEW LS/G3 car owners. Thanks. J.Rob

Forgot to ask--Looking for a widened Cop Car wheel and Dog dish hubcap vibe on the wheels. I don't want a pro-street size tire--just a 315-335 series on the back and 275's up front. J.Rob

Scratchy can get you info on wide tires without tubs. Sounds like a cool project.
