For '72 - '80 Dodge Pickup, I am having a difficult time locating replacement Clutch & Brake Pedal Pads. I read an earlier post about Kenworth rubber pads being the same size.

As for now, the previous owner applied adhesive-backed antiskid sandpaper, but I would relly like to find correct replacements.

When I have looked in junkyards, I wind up finding Auto Trans trucks or that the ones I need are missing or already harvested.

Have you tried the local parts store? Sometime the Dorman Help section will have replacements.

Yes, I have looked in all my local auto parts stores along with the Help Sections and Online at Dorman, JC Whitney, MOPAR Trucks.com, and general Google searches. I ordered them online, but then was informed that even though they advertised the parts for sale, they were no longer available and promptly cancelled my order.

1923 Buick pads fit like they were made for them. They just look different. You can get them from Rock Auto, part number CB13. Peterbilt pads are supposed to fit, too, but I can't confirm that. I think part number 06-00754 is what is supposed to fit. I'm actually considering re-shaping the metal plates to Chevy dimensions just so I can have nice reproduction parts any time I need them. Plus, I can get the stainless dress up kit for them. Try finding a set of those for a Dodge.

No they are different. Did you call the dealership? They were the same up until 93.
LMC sells the auto brake but not the standard shift version.

Thanks for all the replies. Also Thanks Chris/Jerseybud. I looked at the pair on EBay, might go with those, but they look pretty dirty and worn for $80 plus shipping.

Yes, I did try calling local Dodge Dealer Parts Departments and they said they looked it up in the system and that they were no longer available. Someone on Moparts said that around 5-years ago, you could still get them from Factory Dealers, but seems like not any more.

I'll bet there are some dusty on a shelf somewhere at some dealer in the country, but so far I haven't had any good luck.

This is what they look like at the moment. The previous owner covered them and the accelerator pedal with anti-skid stair tape.

Pretty sure they fit/work too, but even those were not available from Factory Dealerships, etc, as I have been looking. I asked my local dealership for 1993 pickup Clutch and Brake Pedal Pads and was told, No Longer available.

From the factory some of them have a coating that develops with age that comes off with elbow grease. You can see in his last pic where he removed it to show the part number in the rubber. That pair is on the dirty/old side of the realm, but the rubber is not affected.

Pads are the same thing from 72-93. Pretty sure they went NS1 about 2 years ago, about early 2012. They were all over ebay then evaporated.

Thanks for the replies.

Collector's wants $45/each. The Used EBay ones are essentially $40/each.

Seems a bit much for parts that were likely $8 or $10 each just a few years ago.

I can continue to check my local junkyards and Pick A Part too. It works for now, but eventually I would like to get Factory Pads.

It is somewhat amazing to me that something this ordinary would be such a big problem. That, and windshield wiper blades for my '79 Jeep CJ5. Those too are now hard to come by or no longer available at autoparts stores.
