Hey gang...
Anyone have pictures of their OEM 426 Hemi's and the relationship between the front and rear carb throttle arms and the linkage connecting the two. I believe I have the arm out of adjustment... When I drive slowly around, the throttle feels hits a hard spot and I believe it is the linkage moving the front carb arm too soon....

Troy,

Unless something is bent or in a bind the front carb should not be tipping in at slow speeds. Do you have the green can gizmo hooked up to the vacuum advance? I had mine originally set up with one and about a year or so later I would get weird symptoms of just off-idle surges and the engine speed taking longer to settle coming back at idle. I bypassed it and the engine seems much happier. It was not necessarily a huge change but enough to notice. I know the FSM has a procedure to test/adjust but just have not taken the time to do it yet. Good Luck.

I still have the fsm out. If you need the dash-pot adj inst let me know.
If you don't have a fsm, I suggest it, lots of measurements to check to set the carbs back to oem.

I think myu linkage is adjust so the rear carb throttle arm engages the linkage too early. I need to make the distance travel a little longer on the slotted area of the rear carb...

Thanks..
guys...

Troy,it needs adjusted so both carbs reach full open at the same time, hold rear full open and adjust front swivel accordingly.

above is important so that front carb butterflys are not becoming the "stop" for the accel pedal.
