Maybe the Dart owner should take what remains of the Chevelle Home. Sell what he can and scrap rest.
Fair enough?

It don't work that way. If you don't want to risk losing your car stay home and play checkers cause it all could be gone in a matter of seconds. There is insurance out there but it is seldom used by the normal everyday bracket or class racer. You can even get coverage to cover the other guy if you damage his car but that is even less bought.

Both are on their own. Sure Chevelle guy feels bad, but he definitely got the worst end of the deal. He has enough to worry about. He MIGHT offer a little help, but doubtful.

On track insurance CAN be bought and is really not THAT high considering

The Dart might be the young guy that races at Rock Falls Raceway, WI. occasionally. Sure sucks, wicked big small block.

who offers on track insurance, id be interested in getting a quote. I was thinking about it recently and checked one company that offers "racers" insurance and was surprised to see that it dident cover the car on the track, it did in the trailer or in the pits but not on the track.

Years ago NHRA hike the entry fees to pay for, according to them back then, for incidents like this I've never heard of any insurance company hired by NHRA pay for any ones at the track injurys or damages, racing or park Years ago a M.W. stocker racer from northern CA ran into the back of a former Winternationals winner race car while doing a burn out, that guy told his victim tough DooDoo NHRA stopped allowing burn outs to start while any competitor was in front of the car waiting to do a burn out after that race Thier are insurance companys that will insure your race car on the track or off the track, I've even heard during competion but I've never pursued getting it

While I agree this is a "Sh1t Happens" sorta deal, IMO: When your car wheelies like the Chevelle, you have an obligation to the others at the track to either get some wheelie bars on it, or do something to keep it outa' the clouds. Thats just irresponsibility that ended up costing 2 guys their cars.
