I know Jim, local racer, mechanic , haven't seen him in a decade maybe. He didn't have an engine building business that I know of ?

I know Jim as well. Bought some parts from him in the 90's. As John said, wasn't a "builder" back then.

Yep, did business with him in the early 00's as I live close to him. everything I got from him was in great shape and was what he said it was. I think you can Google search him and find some feedback, some folks had some issues with some motors he sold on Ebay. He may be under Gozzy engines as well.

Just did a quick Google search, yikes. Buyer beware.

Thanks Guys, A guy buy me has a 472 hemi for sale that he said came from Jim. Its never been installed supposed to have been run to break in cam. I'm thinking it might be a stock hemi crate. Has mopar aluminum heads on it. Were those built by cummins and are they any good? Thanks Bob

Might be the one with negative feedback on Jim's Ebay feed ? If it's a Cummins built engine treat it as a CORE , it's a big blue box of poor craftsmanship.

This guy is not someone you want to do business with. I wont go on to trash on him in a public forum. But I will say this. Their are better resources out there that will gladly take your hard earned money, and turn it into a properly built and documented piece of art under your hood. Even if that means you spend a couple grand extra, you get what you pay for. Other than that, always make sure you do everything in writing, by email. Cover your butt. With this guy many people did not cover their butts, i did. But still had attorneys contact me 8 months after the fact as did many customers who bought with free shipping. He had not paid his freight bills and the shipping company was going after his customers. I obviously did not get what was paid for, have since sold car to someone in australia. Who can and will back me up on this.

I will sit back and know i among others were honest and trusting and paid someone for something, they did not provide. It will all come back to him at the right time. Things work out in that way.
