Quality & cost are both important. What are my options? Looking for feed back from those who have actually purchased one. Thanks, GTS
If you're looking for just an unpainted grille without parking light assemblies, I'm selling those for $525. Includes all the stainless steel trim and red bars installed. These are being sold this way because I don't have enough parking light housings for the grilles I have left.
Second option is a complete grille with parking light assemblies and painted with our argent paint we mix here sprayed out of a gun not a rattle can. You can't get the proper size metal flake to spray out of a can. Complete assembly is $1,295.
All of our grilles include the slide in screw retainers to mount the headlight buckets to the grille.
Third opting is a complete and detailed black plastic AAR grille with parking light assemblies and painted with NOS mixed organisol. The AAR grille also has the chrome rectangular inserts installed. Complete assembly is $1,395.
Both grilles are 100% complete ready to install with all the original part numbers and Penta Star, installation kits are NOT included.
And your last option is the grille that was produced by Goodmark. Prices are all over the board on those, some being as low as $525. Their grille includes the plastic and trim only, red bars are extra. The issues with the Goodmark grille are as follows:
1. The stainless trim shape isn't close to being correct and fits terrible.
2. Modification is required to the parking light area to get them to go all the way in the grille.
3. Missing some of the detail in the plastic. I'm guessing it was less expensive in tooling cost so it was left out. It could also be just a matter of whom ever was approving the parts missed it.
4. Left out the brass inserts in the mounting feet for the x2 headlight buckets, those are there to protect the feet from being crushed when installed.
NONE of their grilles include the slide in screw retainers to mount the headlight buckets to the grille.

Mike, any chance you will be at Indy with any argent grills? I would pick one up there just to save a dollar or two on shipping.
Shipping was cheap............
It certainly was for me..............
Yes it was as cheap as it gets Dave, however, I had to charge you for the additional 45 minute long distance phone conversation. It was actually only 36 minutes, but, we round up to the nearest 15 minutes.
