I'm putting a 67 8 3/4 in my swinger. my question is the brake hose. the hole in the housing where the vent bolt goes is closer to the center on the 8 3/4 compared to the 8 1/4. has anybody ran into this issue? basically i need to know if the stock 8 1/4 hose will reach the stock location on the car.

The hose for the 8 3/4 usually incorporates the breather vent, so you might want to use that one. Some 8 1/4 hoses don't have this. The housing does need to breathe.

Plug the original hole, drill and tap a fresh hole for the brake tee.

You can use a '69 and older A-body hose and tee, as the vent-hole is in the same location.
