On my Shaggin Wagon, I put a 4bbl intake and edelbrock 600 avs on it. I was doing some tuning yesterday and decided to drive it without the dog house or aircleaner on it. it wont even open the air door on the secondaries when floored.
thinking about a 450 holley. Never tried one but they have just one squirter and open the secodaries mechanically. Any have any thoughts on this?

It's been a long time, but I think the spring is adjustable on that.

but that is no different the the 600 Edel I already have on it. If it wont pull the seconday air flap open, and I think I have it as lose as it can be, why would you guys think the Holley secondaries will open?

well for one i wouldn't put a eddy carb on anything they are both adjustable with springs. they wont open until needed. how long did you hold the pedal down? it wont open the second you mash the gas either way.

Ray...I have heard of motors being weak enough that they'd never open the secondaries like you're seeing. Seems like you have a few options...deal w/ it, rebuild it, or get a mechanical secondary carb.

Damn, I like that van. My GF was laughing at all the thumbs up I got at SGMP rolling thru the pits with mine. And mine is ugly!

Man I had some good times in that van. When I would jump on it with my girlfriend in it I would flip this switch that was mounted on the dash and tell her it was turning on the nitrous. 2 years later I found out the switch was actually turning on my reverse lights. I'll bet that messed with some minds.

I've got a 73 duster with a 318 600 holley, edelbrock intake, stock exh man and a single 2" exhaust and it wouldn't pull the skin of a rice pudding. I've checked the timing and adjusted the carb but it just sounds so flat, i swear it's one of the slowest cars i've ever owned. Lol Mick

I have the air door spring so loose, its about to fall open and it wont.
How do you change motors in a van, thru the passenger door?
