Looking for Opinions on this camshaft, A friend of mine has a Duster with a 340 (.030 over) 10.0:1cr stock "J" heads Holley Strip Dominator 750 HP Holley 4.10:1 gears 4-speed running a 29.5 drag radial. Looking at this camshaft from Hughes specs are. Solid flat tappet .564/.584 lift 242/246 @.050 duration ground on 108 LSA. Car is a typical Saturday night street/strip. Opinions? Good or Bad?

Thanks.
Bud.

Very similar to the cam and combo that was in my '71 Demon 340 when we got it. Ran real good.

108 LSA on a stick shift motor will work fine, I would intsalled it between 102 to 104 ATDC on the intake lobe centers 4 speed and drag radials might be a challange to hook well on the street Good luck, let us know how it works and where you install that cam

You need two of three things;
1. Lower gears
2. Smaller tires
3. Smaller cam
All three of those things you mentioned are going to hurt performance in a short stroke, small cubic inch, lower rpm motor. The only saving grace is the four speed, but who wants a street car that you need to slip the clutch, or dump it, every time you take off.
