Does anyone know how to figure out the order number and production date on a car with out having the broadcast sheet or fender tag? I want to have a new fender tag made but I need the right date to put on it as I don't want a bogus tag on my car. The car is all original so I know the option codes for the fender tag as well as the month it was built from the door vin tag, just not the actual production day and order number. Thanks

Short answer is no, you may be able to get close to the SPD but you'll never get the order number correct.
I'd recommend not getting a reproduction tag unless you have all the original information. If you get anything wrong, it will cause someone to question whether the entire car is bogus (assuming you decide to sell it some time in the future).

Better to have no tag at all that a fake one someone had to "guess" at.

If there is a registry for your make & model, check with them. They may know of your original tag or a broadcast sheet for the car.

Knowing the car is all original, and with a little research, I'd want a fender tag even if the SPD is guesstimated and the SO number is left off. Probably the best bet is to see if someone like Galen Govier can create a tag for you that would be acceptable... if you want to spend the money?
