Who makes the long dowell pins for using a mid plate. Need a pair of pins 1-1.25" long. Mopar pins are .495 diameter, GM pins are .500 and will not work. Thanks, Dyno

I'm cheap

Bought myself some 1/2" steel rod, cut it to the desired length, chucked it up in the drill/press and hit it with some sand paper and made it .001" interference. Also gave myself a generous radius on the trans side and that sure helped with R&R's

Your mileage may vary

Check big block Ford. They are the Same id, but I don't remember how much longer they are.

No , they are not , Lakewood passes them off as the same but they are not. Ford is .500 , Mopar is .495 , .005 is to much of an interference fit addition.

Go to Home Depot and get a piece of their 1/2" steel dowel stock , usually just under .500 and do as roadhazard suggests if you don't have access to a lathe ...
