Only problem on small blocks is a r3 block with 904 trans, need a starter from robbmc.

I am using an MSD starter on mine and it fits / works just fine.
Had I known about this one , I may have gotten off cheaper.

..... I can't believe I actually read this before I ever tried this. I have a decent 904, just no converter for the W8 mill..... but the thought had crossed my mind.

Not true. 360 magnum blocks also have to be clearanced in the pan rail area to use a 904/998/999/A500 trans and a mini starter. Also, some of the mini-starters nose pieces need to be clearanced to use the solid B&M 360/904 flexplates.
