I run 235 fronts and 255 rears with room to spare, but mine are 15s.
As I'm sure you know, in this day and age your choices in a 14 inch tire will be limited. Even 15s are getting harder to find.

Do you know how wide a tire in fourteen inches on the front and the back would fit on my GTX? Thanks.

14" tires are difficult to get. If there's any way possible I think I would look into something else. My 70 Satellite is identical to the GTX and has pretty big 17" tires on it. I don't think you can get a 14" tire that is too big for a GTX rear wheel well. If your hardcore on the 14's there are some old bias tires that are reproduced. Maybe L-60's an the rear with G-60 up front should get the stance right. They do make a 28"x9" slick in a 14". That's probably as big as you'll find. Kind of tough to help out with the information provided...

There are NO G60 or L60 14" tires being reproduced. If you are going for the FACTORY STOCK LOOK with stock 14x5.5" "ROAD" or "RALLYE" wheels (14x6.0" w/hub caps-wheel covers) the 225/70/14 is your best/only option. 245/60/14s are available & will fit the wheel wells, but are SHORT! & should be mounted on wider wheels.

225-70 and 225-60/14's will fit no problem.

I would like to know if I can get to 225 70's in 14 inches on the fronnt and would it be possible to get 225 60s on the back?
Keep in mind though, a 225/70 is 26.5" tall and a 225/60 is only 24.7" tall...might look kind of odd with shorter tires on the back like that?
As well, a 225/60 is going to look kinda small in the rear wheel well of a B body I think at least.
A 245/60 is a little taller at 25.6" and at least has a little more width to help fill things out.

You might check the tires available, I don't see any 245 60 14s on the Summit site. I would think you want your rear tires at least as tall as your fronts with MAYBE a 1/2 inch shorter still looking OK. As for the tire numbers the first number ie 225 is the tread width, the series/second number ie 60 or 70 is the heigth of the side wall which is a percentage of the tread width 60% or 70%, the third number is the size of the rim diameter, 14, 15, 16, etc. This is why the 225 60 is shorter than a 225 70 on the same diameter rim. This a rough explanation but pretty accurate from everything I know.
Careful, your character's showing!
