Are they the same for both sides, or is there a right and left?
They look the same to me, but want to be sure.

I would think they are different. If you look close there should be a L or and R on them by the part number.

don't see a part number on them. Is it under the housing?

Didn't want to take them both apart till I knew for sure. The housing seems a bit rusted and am afraid to break anything.

Should be a right and left. Need a set?

Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

Okay, I took them apart, and it seems like everything but the housing is interchangable.

The housings are marked right and left.

The piece that holds the reverse lenses in are not marked, but they have different part numbers.
The back up lenses are identical.

The brake lenses fit in both housings. but are totally different part numbers. Not just odd and even for the housings and backup lens housings.
But they are both odd numbered part numbers. One ends in 911, the other ends in 907.
One fits better in both housings than the other.

Was this just a different run of parts? Or did someone stuff both left lenses in my car? It isn't marked left or right like the other stuff.

The inner housings are labeled rit and left. The chrome outer bezels are strictly right and left.

sorry. 65 coronet.

The housings seem to be. My question really was, are the lenses.
The part numbers are different, but no markings.
One fits better, or goes into the housings easier than the other, but they both "fit."

If the part number is an even number, the part is for the right side of the car. If the part number is an odd number, it's for the left.

Then both the tail light lenses are left.?
Because both end in an odd number.

Both backup lights end in an even number, but are the same part number.

Could someone with a 65 that they know the lights are correct on, check please. Since I know mine have been replaced at some point, I can't say for sure the guy just didn't put two lefts in, but other than the part numbers they aren't marked differently.

All the other parts that cared had a L or R on it.

What I have found is that all Chrysler parts that come in pairs for two different sides of whatever are labeled left and right, but often it doesn't matter which side you put them on.

Thanks. Got the answer from another forum. Would be nice as a double check though. He said his part numbers were the same on both his lenses.

I have the same part number for the lenses:

22606016 65000-911

I looked at 5 lenses.

2449801 and 2449800 on the housings, each stamped L&R

B/U delete plates dont have any numbers...

I think wagons are different left to right on the lenses..... something about the curve.
