I been mulling over the idea of buying uncoated headers from TTI for my 67 Charger. The main reason is to have the headers ceramic coated after breaking in the 383. The other reason is by the second time of installing the headers I will be able to avoid getting scratches on the finish What do you think?

Having the inside coated is more important/beneficial than the outside coating, imo. So I would say that is bad idea because the inside coating won't be good idea after polluting the inside with exhaust gas and your dirty hands on the outside.

I feel that if you are buying headers for a stock type application stay with a better header manufacturer like Doug's Headers or Doug Thorley headers.
