Hey guys, can I ignore this part or does anyone know where I get a replacement? I was tearing down the steering column and destroyed the sleeve that hides the pin on the steering lock cog. The pin is essentially pressed in so I doubt it is really needed but there must be a reason the pin is surrounded by a sleeve. I thought about using lock-tite Blue when I pressed it in or perhaps tightening a hose clamp around the pin once I pressed it in place.

I included a photo that shows the part. I am looking for another photo to try to give you some context as well.

Many thanks!

-Steve

Here is a photo I found with the sleeve being removed. It was more difficult than they made it look!

Hey Steve,
I'm not sure if it's necessary or not. But I have one if you want it. Just shoot me a PM with your address.

Tom
