to install a manual Mustang II steering rack on my Dakota...I've looked everywhere.

why a heim ? most suppliers go 1/2" to 5/8". the only 9/16" application i have seen has been a reducer bushing used with a 5/8 or 3/4 male/female thread rod end so you could use a 9/16 bolt through the ball end. you may have to have a threaded bushing made for a 3/4 heim, then bush down the ball end to what ever you need for a through bolt. and if you need to buy a 9/16 lh [quality] tap, they are not very economical.
