And move it inside, but it's 10 degrees out and it has aluminum rods with 15:1 compression. Is there any risk hurting anything inside the motor?
He needs to make some changes and it looks like more snow tomorrow so I want to take advantage of the sunny day today.

I wouldn't start it. The oil is going to be like syrup. It isn't going to want to run. If you HAVE to start it, but a heater in the trailer and heat it up really good before doing so. But, then you have a chance of setting the trailer on fire, you know Murphy is hanging around.

I would push it into the garage instead of starting it.

What is the oil weight in the car? 50w or 20w-50 I wouldn't start it. You would be better off backing the trailer by your garage, getting a case of beer, and calling some friends over to push it out, then drink said beer!

That's the way I have to do it!! Can't get any "friends" around without beer. Will be getting mine out of the trailer in a few days to install my new Thumpered carb.

Spun the bearings out of one doing that. Put a heater under it or something.

Put a torpedo heater in the trailer and warm it up a few hours. Mine won't even start when it's that cold. I have found throwing a fender cover over the carbs helps.

Well the Sunny day is over. I hope you found some friends to just help you push the car in the garage. I wouldn't start it, I don't see the need. There are other options.

No on the Torpedo heater also, they get hotter then most think. Guy burnt his motor home down trying to thaw some water tanks before he got it winterized just a few blocks from me. Heard other similer stories as well.

I certainly wouldn't leave it unattended. I have used one in the trailer with good results but paid attention to where it was pointed and stayed with it. Last year I had to rebuild the inner roof structure of my trailer during the winter. I would have froze to death. Glad you got it moved.
