Hi,
Does anyone have a picture of the trunk trim installed on a 70 GTX? My car was painted and I think got a new trunk lid and I am not sure how the 2 trim pieces get installed. I do not see any holes on the trunk other that 2 at the corners for the top trim piece.
Thank you,
Joe

The rear of the lid trim uses a bolt on stud an each end and double back tape across the lid. This trim is GTX and Sport Satellite only.

The trim that goes under the lip of the lid slides over the lip and has 9 attaching screws on the underside of the lid.

Thank you for the info. My trunk lid does not have any holes showing where the lower piece would screw into. Looks like a ton of screws attach this to the trunk based on the mounting holes on the trim piece.

Forgot to ask. What kind of two sided tape? Already the correct size or will I need to cut to fit?

Thank you,
Joe

Originally had 9 screws holding on the lower trim.

Here you can see the nut to retain the end on the upper trim. The double back tape should be just wide enough to stick to both upper and lower sides of the trim without hanging out. You will most likely have to cut the tape to size.

This car is made in St Louis in sept 69. I've had 3 other cars and they all had the same trim mounting.
