That's a stock intake manifold and it will work fine on a 440. Carburetor depends on motor. 600-650cfm holley, carter, etc. for close to stock and 750cfm if you have a cam & engine work. FYI-double pumpers are a waste of gas unless you're drag racing and bigger is not always better.

'96 Mustang GT convt. street car
'04 4.6 SOHC, NOS, auto, lowered

Thank you for the info. I did buy it. Now I will need the carb. I do not know much about carbs so what is the best one to get? The engine has had work done to it so I think the 750 but which is the best with little or no major adjusting?
Thank you, Joe

you looking to buy a used carb or new carb?
you want a carb with the sqaurebore bolt pattern with that intake.
used mopar/holley carbs for the 1970 intake can be found at fair price. stock OEM throttle lever/kickdown linkage also
or upgrade the OEM-holley for a performance holley like the 3310-750cfm Vac 2ndary carb.
or upgrade to a new carb like a quik fuel or street demon which are new and getting great feedback on out of the box performance with them.
you can also go with a double pumper over a vac 2ndary carb. but the 3310 is a hard carb to beat for tuning and performance on just about any engine combo.
I went with the holley street dominator spredbore intake with a 750cfm q-jet but have a holley spredbore list# 6213 800cfm double pumper to go on next.
spredbore lets you cruz around on 150cfm till you kick the other 650cfm in on a WOT blast.
FYI**IMHO a new street demon will be the best out of the box with very little tuning needed. great mpg & performance and not old & used.

I want to go new. So which model street demon do I need for the 750 cfm and square bore?

You're in luck, the Street Demon, because of the shape of the "goggle valve" secondaries, bolts on either square bore or spread bore intakes without adapters. Get the one with the space age plastic bowl. Model 1904. http://www.demoncarbs.com/Types/Street%20Demon.aspR.
