68 Road Runner - on the heater hoses, there is a thin stamped strap (approx. 10" long) that wraps around the hoses. Exactly where does this item go on the hoses. Between the firewall and the bracket on the rocker cover or between the rocker cover bracket and the water pump?

The "ultra-restored" vehicles I have seen had 2 straps--1 in each location you describe.

Sorry, mine are long gone...

Don't know about 68's but here's a shot of a '69 that I sold 12 years ago (still kicking myself on that one ). This car was an older restoration, and was very, very stock. If you look closely, there appears to be one strap on the other side of the windshield washer tank, and another just below where the upper radiator hose attaches to the radiator. Hope this helps:
