Dad put the black mopar valve covers on his 72 340 cuda. He bought a set of mopar performance resto plug wires. With the added height of the covers the wires are like a few inches short. Ad to it we put headers on the car too. So anyone run into this issue? What brand of wires did you run? Also looking for a set that might hold up better if we have to run them closer than would like to to the headers.

Thanks guys

I run the Taylor wires on my SB (Stahl headers). Zero problems, but the Stahl tubes clear the plugs by a good margin. It's a racecar where OEM appearance isn't important. On other cars (BBs with headers, for example), I use the Nomex "socks" to protect the plug terminals.

Firecore wires. looks stock, but better than most aftermarket wire. They are not some assembly required.

The MP restoration wires don't even fit stock valve covers easily. There are a few wires that could be a little longer. My vote is for Firecore.

I haven't had any issue with the Moroso wires and the MT covers.

Might be a question for the race forum. I got mine through FBO a couple years ago. I think Bary Grant ? BG racing was also dealer.
