I've heard from a couple people that abody headers will fit my 72 d100 but I've never seen anybody who has actually done it. The reason I ask is I have a chance to pick up a set of them real cheap and if theyll fit ill be gettin a deal over buyin new ones....will they fit?

Nope car headers won't fit on a truck, van headers won't fit a truck either, 4x4 headers will fit on a 2wd though but 2wd won't fit on a 4x4.

They won't fit. And since you have to get new ones, I'd recommend Hedman Tork Step headers. I put a set on my 84 D350 with a 360. They were listed for a 4WD, but worked great on my 2 WD truck. Other than my TTI's on my Challenger, they were the nicest fitting headers I've ever had. Never leaked in the 4 years I used them. Good luck

the A body headers you are probably talking about are the cppa/tti 2" big block headers. they will fit with some notching of the upper portion of the frame rail(440's need more than 383/400's) i had a set on my old street/strip '83 D150, & i think member redram currently has a set on his hotrod.
