SPWC OP master Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 4,102 Cochise County Arizona	My 72 Swinger hasnt been run since 1995. I finally got it running today after messing with it for almost a month. I have the car up on jackstands and when the car is idleing in neutral the speedo needle wants to jump around. Is this a speedo cable lube issue or is it an issue of the the speedo head needing lubrication.What else could be causing the needle to jump around like that in neutral? The transmission is a 3 speed manual(Column shift)

The fact that the speedo is trying to register at all is because the output shaft (and rear tires) are turning a bit. Down to just a blue car now.

Then the speedo will read that. That does happen specially with tight Low Stall converters With a Charger born in Chrysler assembly plant in Valencia, Venezuela
