I was digging through my old bell housings and found a couple of ones that I always thought were 11 b bodies. I looked at a web page with all the casting numbers and found them to be 65-66 10.5 bell housings for b bodies(2468372). Are those very desirable? I guess even though they looked like 11 they wont take an 11" flywheel. Anyone know if they will fit a 68-70 b body?

One good thing is they were also used for 67-69 383 Dart GTS's and Barracuda's also! There are two holes where a spacer bolts onto then the pivot ball stud bracket attaches. The 67-70 B-Body bell is different and only has one hole that the pivot ball stud screws into.

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

I'll look at them and see. I noticed some bell housings for sale in the tranny section and they range from 200 to 300. I guess these fit in that price range as well.

Not to highjack the thread. But I have a aluminum bell housing in my roadrunner. I have heard some of these are valuable. I have to check the number if I have a picture of it. It is already in my car. I believe the only number is where the tranny mounts is that correct? I found out after the fact like always. Is there any problem with these. It is a Mopar bell housing, I have it in a 4 speed Roadrunner.

Thanks

I assume you have it in your 69? It is supposed to be the 11" cast iron 2892626. The reason I even dug out all of my bell housings is that I am working on an original 68 Charger 4 speed car and the previous owner swapped out the 11" for a 71 alum one like your and used a 11" scalloped pp. They will work just fine, but it is not original. As far as valuable, I guess it depends upon which one you need. I would think the 69-69 11" would be more rare, but who knows. I have several of each. I have more of the 68-69 11" so I may swap him one for his 71 alum since I only have one for my kids 71 383 4 speed. Then again, I may use a scatter shield.
