Has anyone tried running a 12 inch wide wheel on a duster with leaf springs and an inboard kit? I had wheels given to me and would like to use them. They fit between the frame and wheel well lip with a drag radial tire on them and have about an inch gap on each side. I was worried if I run a slicks they won't fit.

What size is the drag radial?

I use a 12" wheel on my 71 Demon. It has a 7" backspace,and I use a 12.25x 31.25 Phoenix slick and on the street I'll be using a Hoosier pro street radial which is a 31.0x16.50 size.Both tires fit great,although the wheel openings had to be enlarged.Using Mopar Super stock springs inboard into the frame and mini tubs.

12in but my rear is pretty narrow .
