Well, I have a little of most of that, but the skill is argueable. U.S. Tool stuff that I have seen is top quality and powder coated and I'm sure they have to carry a boo coo amount of insurance. Time is money and if i had to acount for the time I have in stuff it is probably as looser but I enjoy thinking I am saving money.

Tha dash stand aint pretty but it works. It's an old bread stand and a peice of plumbers strap and a fence brace for the back hanger. Full access and chest lever for easy working.

Another Moparts member made this dash holder. Very simple but effective! I like that it's all bolted together so anyone could make one like this. Ironic that there's a nice welder behind it!

I think I saw that one for sale at Carlisle this year, it was for a bench top I think. What did you make your's out of I like it, cleaner than mine. We should start another homemade tool thread.

It's a couple sizes of raw steel square tubing so it can be adjusted via telescoping, I painted it silver to keep it nice (powder coating would be better but I was out of time). I wanted some adjustment in a few areas so I welded nuts and used through bolts to anchor the tubes in place once set. Wheels are adjustable, lockable, and removable with quick release. I built this off of a napkin sketch and would probably make some miner changes if I made another one but it gets the job done.

The fixture looks kinda familiar like a clothing store rack or something. You could make different heads to accommidate different items. Is the base cross bar telescopic as well to change the width?

Nope it's just made from scrap steel (whatever 2 matching sizes the steel supplier had on sale cheap), didn't start out as anything else. The heads come off so yes, different ones can be swapped, and yes the width is adjustable as well as all 4 legs.

I made a dash frame holder out of 2x4's
took me less than an hour to make.Probably dont have more than $10 in it
Looks just like Scotts ,,only made of wood and no wheels
attaches to the same side mounts that the dash attaches to the body

Backyard roteserie for a CJ tub, outside for blasting and treating without destroying the inside of the shop.

Slide the back fixture in place (smart to use a spacer to keep it off the post, I used a PVC coupler). Supported the front on saw horses. Until.........

I dig the front hole with an approach hole/slot to slide the front post in place. The same principle would work with a car just need tall post in order to spin it all the way around.

I did think later to strap the top to ensure no split out.

There's probably more than one copy right infringement. You ought see my dash stand.

Given that Chrysler used a similar method, and for all I know maybe Henry Ford as well, unless its an identical design... I hereby copywrite the letter "A" in both capital and lowercase forms, and in all derivative representation in all font past, current, and future. Yada, yada, yada, lower the body onto the k-frame, I now declare you ready to bolt up.
