well i just completed slapstick conversion after reading many posts not to do...well im so glad i did because it was simple...i bought mid seventies tall version of the slaptick...soaked bottom portion in evaporust...cam out looking nos...then i elongated the mounting holes to slide around up and down for adjustment...did not want to cut any rods or modify anything...i adjusted side bracket and put a .060 shim under one of the two bolts so it can tilt some..and was playing with my linkage...but turned out perfect...so happy now and looks so much better without curved handle...and best of all it works awesome!!

i had it on to check things...then took back off to do a mini resto on console...it looks great with console on like it was made for it...the short ebody shifter would of been to stubbie...will post pics soon...really happy it worked..cant wait to slaptick this beast!!!!

Check the throw. My measurements show that the arm on the top of the vertical rod needs to be effectively shortened from 2.5" to 2.25". This was on an A-body, but the shifter should be the same. I have used an E-body slapstick without the mod, but it's not quite right. It IS right with the mod.

oh and by the way i had a full set of ebody linkage and no go...you must use all b body....also body linkage for 70 b is diff from 68 69..the rods that go to trans.
