biff426 OP super stock B Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 938 Deland, Florida	I am having issues coming up with a map sensor that will fit the Modman manifold opening and plug into the hemi 6 wire harness I have the late model harness I bought a map for a 2006-09 6.1 but the harness does not work but it fits the intake opening

Moparmal master Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 3,943 Melbourne.....Oz-land	Thats weird because my later MSD6013 harness plugged straight onto my 6.1 crate motor MAP SENSOR. I hate to say this....but are you sure they sent you the correct harness? What I did find is that I had to change the 6.1 crank and cam sensors to the 5.7 type....but not the MAP........

biff426 OP super stock B Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 938 Deland, Florida	I changed the crank and cam sensors to the 5.7 type the harness plugs into the coils fine and the plugs into the 5.7 cam and crank sensor fine but the plug for the map does not work.

biff426 OP super stock B Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 938 Deland, Florida	These do not plug together the map in the picture is for a 09 6.1 an d will fit the intake the harness is the late model harness for the 6.1 coils I am ready to just plug the holes in the intake and say screw it I probably won't even use the map as an input but would like the option

1badx mopar Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 412 Portersville, Pa	If I'm not mistaken it looks like you can shave the "ears" off of the MAP sensor and it will slide into you plug. I'll grab a few MAP sensors later today when I get to the shop and see what they look like. It's not uncommon for me to have to shave the "ears" off of a 2 or 3bar SRT4 MAP to fit a stock 6.1 harness. OST Dyno - Home of the worlds Quickest and Fastest Supercharged Hellcat! 72Swinger master Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 4,302 Nebraska	Sorry I see the difference now, they must of changed the plug-ins in 09, im guessing here, on the 6.1's even though the engine and intakes were not. This is mine and it is what you want, 06 300 SRT8 map sensor. My engine uses sensors from that car on my build. Mopar to the bone!!!

No it wont.. if you look down into the map it has a squareish hole and the plug has a radius

I drilled and tapped my G3 XV intake, then installed a brass fitting, push a rubber line on to it and inserted the map sensor into that. Using either a 2 bar or 3 bar Mopar map sensor I did have to trim off the plastic tab so it would couple properly to the harness. Jerry Williams.
