toomanymopars OP super stock T Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 775 Big Wonderful Wyoming!	Has anyone ever attempted or successfully installed a 4.7 engine from a 07 into a 02 Ram 1500? What all DOES fit or needs traded to make it work? What other years will work without a lot of grief.... This was sure an engineering marvel...you would think that Chrysler would have learned after the 2.7 Intrepid fiasco.

moretoys top fuel M Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 1,728 ST clair shores MI	I don't know the exact years, but the main difference between 4.7l engines is the crank sensor tooth count. The earlier engines use a 16 tooth wheel (first couple years) and the rest use a 32 tooth wheel.I'm sure everything else can be swapped over.

mike s top fuel M Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 1,668 Mi,U.S.A.	2002 was the change year.You will not be able to fire both spark plugs running the old computer.Fly by wire if the 07 had it will be another issue. Leave the gun.......take the Cannoli's....Mike
