So this still has me baffled. It doesn't appear to be a 9-1/4 as it only has 10 bolts. But it doesn't look like an 8-1/4 either - no plug and the cover is round, not oval. Its definitely a Mopar piece as it has the pentastar cast into it. What is it?
that's a 8 3/8 AKA 8 1/4 10 bolt

Yup.
1976 or earlier due to the fill/level check plug being on the side of the housing. 77 moved the plug to the cover. Looking at the larger locating hole in the spring perches tells me iso-clamp mounting so its 73 or newer. 73-76 F, M, J, or B. Drum and perch widths will tell which. Looks identical to the one in my 76 Aspen wagon. The wagons all got an 8.25 with the HD brake drums.
