That would be my last choice for an aluminum block. I have seen more than one that just don't cut it on the power side. They also seem to "go soft" over time. Just saying.

Darn, I just did my Indymaxx block with B1's at 14.5 compression, so I could drop a little weight. I wasn't expectinng a serious HP loss. I hadn't dyno'ed my engine, but was still hoping to achieve 900-925 hp. Tracks are closed, so I cant get an approximate yet. I get my car back out of the chassis shop this week. I am shooting for a 5.40 or so. I am the only mopar there. I want to run with the quick 8 at our track

Friend of mine bought same block month after I did. Our cars weigh the same have same compression an c.I. they run nearly the same too. He seen the exact gains I did ...nothing. Prepare yourself for disappointment.

I don't think I will harp to much on the dissapointment to much. I am not going to chase E/T like I used to. With me being disabled now, I am just going to enjoy the sport and try to relax in it.

A heavy car takes more hp to achieve little gains. What does your car weigh? I thought you were running kinda heavy but running very good. Adding the little more compression doesn't add that much to hp. You know as well as I do, that when you see a mph change, then your making more hp or rather more of it is hitting the ground.

3500. Last 8 passes went 8.8s 152 with concrete filled mega block. I'm nowhere close to that now.

Shawn was that still with 572 c.i. or larger ?
What is the car currently running with the aluminum motor?
I also was considering going from Mega block to Aluminum

Same weather, pressures, and climate? I'm about 1000 lbs lighter than you are. I am impressed how you run with the super comp guys
